"The NucleoCounter® NC-3000™ is an advanced image cytometer that uses fluorescence imaging to characterize cell properties. Here are some of the key technical features:
Assays: The NC-3000™ offers a variety of predefined assays, including 5-minute cell cycle analysis, apoptosis assays, and the standard cell count and viability assay. The FlexiCyte™ license can be used to create custom protocols
Software: NucleoView™ software enables intuitive data analysis with unlimited licenses. Data can be displayed in charts and linked images and saved for later analysis
Sample volume: The NC-3000™ works with small sample volumes and is calibration-free. The load volume is 60 μl (Via1 cassette™), 30 μl (NC-Slide A2™) and 10 μl (NC-Slide A8™)
Optimal measurement range: 5×104 to 5×106 cells/ml
Fluorescent dyes: Hoechst 33342, JC-1, VitaBright-43™, VitaBright-48™, acridine orange (AO), DAPI and propidium iodide (PI) are used, among others
Light sources and filters: The NC-3000™ has seven LED light sources with peaks at 365 nm, 405 nm, 475 nm, 530 nm, 630 nm, and two white LEDs. There are nine interchangeable emission filters
Optics and camera: The device is equipped with a lens with 2x magnification and a 1/2" CCD camera with 1392×1040 pixels
Data Export: Data can be exported in a variety of formats, including .cm, .csv, .pdf, .cmpp, .bmp, .tiff, .acs, and .fcs
