Marco Kooiman - ORIGINAL, LARGE

Marco Kooiman lives and works in Rome. He was born in Zimbabwe, the son of an Italian mother and a Dutch father. Since then he has lived in Canada, the Netherlands in Italy. What is special about his work is the use of classical works of art that Kooiman processes into typical pop art images. Of course, elements from the more recent and contemporary consumer culture are also present. With his work, Kooiman wants to criticize contemporary male-female relations and the decline of culture in relation to capitalism. Marco Kooiman's work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Italy and England.
