About this lot

Remarks:
Signs of wear/damage and wear all around by age/mileage.

The Lancia Montecarlo was designed and produced in Turin at the Pininfarina plant in two series. Series 1 covered the period from 1975 to 1978, while Series 2 was produced from 1980 to 1981. The Montecarlo was available in two body styles: a 2-door coupe and a 2-door Targa. In 1982, Lancia developed a famous rally version of this type, the Lancia 037.

The Beta Montecarlo was first presented in March 1975. The initial series of vehicles was designated Lancia Beta Montecarlo, with "Montecarlo" being written as one word. The vehicle was equipped with a twin-cam 1995 cc Lampredi line four-cylinder engine, which produced 120 hp (88 kW; 118 hp) at 6000 rpm. Lancia proposed a top speed of more than 190 km/h and an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h in 9.3 seconds. Features of the first series include solid panels on the rear wings above the engine compartment and 8.8Jx13" alloy wheels, specific to this model. The interior was covered with vinyl (TVE, elastic vinyl ictexile) as standard, with an optional upholstery. The driver's side was equipped with a Vitaloni Californian mirror (the right side was optional).

In 1978, production of the Beta Montecarlo Series 1 was discontinued. This particular model, which was referred to in Italy as the so-called "Dames-Ferrari", was imported to the Netherlands in 1984. The last owner acquired the vehicle in 1995 and added it to his collection. In 2018, the vehicle was purchased by us, and it immediately passed the MOT (MOT). Since then, it has been in our showroom. The vehicle shows no rust and is in completely unrestored condition. It has an optional fabric interior and a right-hand mirror. The very low mileage, the original rims and the excellent original condition contribute to the collector's and valuable status of this car.

Frequently asked questions

How can I bid on a lot?

To place a bid, you need to have an account with Troostwijk. You can create one by clicking on 'Create Account' at the top right corner of our website. Once registered and after completing your profile, you can start bidding on your desired items.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

How much does it cost to buy at Troostwijk?

There is a fee, the buyer's premium, added to each lot you win. The amount of the fee is shown on each individual lot. You see the buyer's premium for each lot when you are logged in as a customer at Troostwijk. Note that VAT is always added to your bid unless otherwise stated.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.
