Jeroen Gerlofsma

Jeroen Gerlofsma (1974) graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam with a degree in Illustration (1995-2000). A graphic approach has always been important to Gerlofsma. Largest shapes set the tone, whether or not surrounded by a tight but sensitive line. He is always looking for clarity and to omit as much as possible, in his eyes, all those that lead to absolutely nothing and the only distracting detail. Gerlofsma's sculptures have to tell a completely unique story, free from all kinds of fixed patterns.
