About this lot
Diana van Hal develops her ideas in a graphic technique. She cuts printing shapes based on her ideas and thus applies opaque and transparent colours. Diana currently makes large-format linocuts, printed with black ink on linen and multi-coloured linocuts, printed on paper that are then mounted on wooden panels. Botanical forms, the human figure as well and animals play a leading role. Motifs from all corners of the world are an important element in her linocuts. Diana welcomes influences from other cultures in her work, expressing affection for all the world's inhabitants. DIANA VAN HAL: BY PLAYING WITH THE MATERIALS AND SHAPES AND COLLABORATING WITH OTHERS, I KEEP DISCOVERING NEW APPLICATIONS, AND NEW STORIES ARE CONSTANTLY EMERGING.
