- KEY FACTS • In honour of Petronas' 46th anniversary, and no doubt somewhat coincidentally that the world-famous number 46 Valentino Rossi had signed for the team, YART (Yamaha Austrian Racing Team) produced only 46 examples of this racing replica R1, of which only 4 are officially coming to England. • This YZF-R1 is a limited edition replica of the Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team YZR-M1, ridden by Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli in the 2020 MotoGP season. • It is powered by a 999cc in-line four-cylinder engine that develops around 197 hp at 13,500 rpm and transmits it to the road via a six-speed gearbox. • The limited edition bikes were created to celebrate 46 years of Yamaha's partnership with Petronas, and as such, 46 were made. This motorcycle is number 15 out of 46 copies. • This bike is 'like new' and unused. EQUIPMENT AND FUNCTIONS • The development of the Petronas Yamaha YZF-R1 was carried out by Yamaha Europe with the help of the Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART). • The Yamaha R1 MotoGP replica features high-quality Öhlins racing suspension, including the FGRT 2 road and track front fork, TTX rear shock, a race-spec Öhlins steering damper, and is equipped with a factory kit exhaust. • Because GYTR is designed for track use, GYTR has fitted a quick-change system for the rear wheel, so that replacing the rear wheel after a tire change is even faster. The bike is equipped with GYTR road footpegs, GYTR shift gears, GYTR racing fuel cap and much more. • The braking system is supplied by Brembo and comes with GP4-RX calipers and T-Drive discs. SUMMARY This Petronas Yamaha YZF-R1 is a truly impressive modern superbike, which is also a limited edition replica of the formidable Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team YZR-M1, ridden by Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli in the 2020 MotoGP season. Only 46 of these motorcycles have been developed, co-developed by Yamaha Europe and the Yamaha Austria Racing Team, to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the partnership between Petronas and Yamaha.
